I just watched an AI-powered phishing attack that would have fooled me! The email looked flawless, it had the right tone, correct details, perfect timing. These might have slipped past me had I not been trained to identify them, I'd have clicked without thinking twice! This isn't theoretical anymore, it's what I'm dealing with right now. Your teams are using AI for proposals and expenses. Cyber criminals are using it to craft emails that pass every authenticity test, clone voices that authorise fraudulent payments, and build malware that evolves faster than defences can adapt. Today started very differently for me..... Myself and Kellie Stockham-Vasey attended a Ada Lovelace Day - Celebrating Women in STEM at Royal Grammar School Newcastle representing TSG We joined some amazing Women that work in STEM from Beamish Museum and Nissan Motor Corporation to talk about our experience, school life and our careers. This was completely out of my comfort zone (anyone who knows me knows I hate presenting!) but it was so great to see so many young women engaging and asking questions and joining in on spotting some Phishing attacks! #womeninstem #cybersecurity #education #risk #security #assessment

Windows 10 Support Ends Tomorrow, 14th October. On 14th October, Microsoft stops providing security updates for Windows 10. No more patches. No more protection against new threats. If you're on Windows 10, here are your options: 1. Upgrade to Windows 11 The right move for most businesses. Better security, improved performance, continued Microsoft support. 2. Pay for Extended Security Updates Expensive and temporary. You're just delaying the inevitable. 3. Do nothing Bad idea. When (not if) something goes wrong, your business insurance won't cover the damage. You knowingly ran unsupported software. 24% of cyber insurance claims are denied or reduced due to exclusions like outdated software.
