Applications now open – Trainee Timber Frame Installer Apprenticeship! We’re excited to announce that applications are officially open for the second cohort of our Trainee Timber Frame Installer apprenticeship programme, starting in September 2026. Following the success of last year’s launch, we’re looking for a new group of enthusiastic trainees to join us and learn how to install pre‑manufactured timber frame homes across our construction sites. This hands‑on programme combines structured learning with real, practical experience — a fantastic pathway into the industry. We’re recruiting a minimum of 16 apprentices across several locations nationwide. All trainees will work towards a Level 2 Construction Assembly Installation Operative qualification, supported by a nationally recognised training provider. Alongside this, apprentices will receive high‑quality on‑site training from our expert Vistry Works Construction teams and skilled subcontractor erectors. Our first cohort, recruited in 2025, continue to thrive - growing their skills, confidence and experience - and we’re proud to be expanding the programme again this year. This week, we’re proud to support New Homes Week 2026, centred on this year’s theme: The Power to Move. In today’s market, many buyers are looking for clarity and reassurance as they consider their next step. The expansion of the New Homes Accelerator is another example of the Government supporting the delivery of new homes, and it is fully welcomed by Vistry. With several sites in the first phase of the Accelerator, we have already seen the benefits it brings to unlock sites and increase the pace of delivery. The proposed ongoing site identification through the new portal means we can now engage with Government on delays as they occur and the dedicated accelerator to London is welcomed given the capital’s own unique challenges.
Phase 2 of the New Homes Accelerator (NHA) has been launched to help unlock stalled sites as part of the government’s drive to build 1.5 million new homes. 🏠 For the first time, support will be extended to developers, landowners and councils with smaller sites of under 500 homes. This expansion will provide targeted support and address systemic barriers in planning to deliver more homes for people across the country.
