We’re pleased to have supplied six RestPods to BAM Nuttall 👷♂️ This is to support their bridge-stretching works along the River Deben. Due to the remote location of the works, with little to no accommodation available nearby, the BAM Nuttall team needed an on-site solution. In response, we delivered six RestPods, each designed to accommodate two occupants. The Wernick team delivered the units on short notice and were praised for both the great condition of the pods and the fast and professional service they received. Best of luck to our Managing Director of Wernick Buildings, Ben Wernick, who will be representing Great Britain at the IAU 24-Hour World Championships tomorrow! The event takes place in Albi, France, starting at 09:00 a.m. UK time, where Ben will run continuously for 24 hours around a 1.5km circuit. We’re immensely proud of Ben’s dedication and wish him every success. You can follow Ben’s progress live during the race here: https://lnkd.in/ewVW-qTH
I must admit I don't often post on LinkedIn. But this in my humble opinion warrants a little note. As a person I try to be same in business, as I do in my personal life. Whether this is inherent or an adaptation of my time in the military I don't know. Maybe its a reason why I joined the military. Whatever the reason, I simply try to be the best version of myself that I can, given the environment and the situation that is presented to me. As well as being the MD of a very successful modular company, and having three beautiful and increasing demanding daughters, I am also an ultra runner. Early morning running is where I do my best work, I don't listen to music, freeing my mind to think through the multitude of complex issues that anyone in management as well as the construction or modular industry will easily relate to. Having attempted and failed at the Barkley Marathons earlier this year, I picked myself up dusted myself off, and on Saturday I get to represent Great Britain and Northern Ireland at the IAU 24hour World Championships. This involves running around a 1.5km circuit for 24hours to achieve the further distance. My target is 167miles. There will be 396 international athletes from over 40 countries competing at the same time. Running is the cheapest and most natural of all the sports in existence, you only have to step out your door and you are there. If you're struggling to run because of musculoskeletal reasons this is likely due to a heel strike technique - maybe give it another go, and start very easy. The race starts at 10:00 French time (09:00 UK), the link below will take you to the official websites. There will be a live tracker available on the day. I am hoping GB gets a bronze - we have an amazing team this year, both for the men and ladies. Fingers crossed, as over 24 hours anything can happen. https://lnkd.in/eTdfGF5N https://www.albi24h.fr/

Our journey to net zero is driven by collaboration and we’re proud to work with innovative suppliers who share that same vision. In this new video, we interviewed Ryan Ratcliffe, Director at Groundhog, to discuss how our partnership is helping to deliver greener welfare solutions for customers across the UK. Groundhog’s latest development, the Fusion Li welfare unit, offers smarter, more efficient site accommodation, achieving up to 90% reductions in fuel use and generator run time compared to standard models. Together, we’re helping customers lower emissions, reduce noise pollution and meet their carbon reduction targets in a practical, cost-effective way. Watch the full interview to hear how Groundhog is supporting Wernick Hire’s sustainability journey 👇
