We are really pleased to announce that our own Grace Garrard won the Telecoms Surveyor of the Year at the ITP dinner last night. Grace joined us 3 years ago as a graduate, and is now a trusted acquisition surveyor with numerous successful work streams under her belt. She's a great character to have in our workplace and as well as being focused and diligent in her role, she is a great friend to many of our colleagues. Thanks must go to Mark Barlow MRICS, as her direct mentor, and also Jon Edwards and Paul Tierney who've also been more than supportive when called upon. So well done and congratulations Grace Gerrard, we are brimming with pride!
Congratulations to this years winner of the Telecoms Surveyor of the Year award Grace Garrard, WHP Telecoms Limited 👏 ✨ Words from the judges: “Grace has made an outstanding impact early in her telecoms career, swiftly progressing into a leadership role while driving collaboration, innovation, and delivery on high-priority programmes. Her ability to resolve complex negotiations, build strong cross-party relationships, and introduce new training and management approaches has accelerated project success while strengthening both client trust and team performance. With her strategic thinking, proactive leadership, and people-focused approach, Grace is a truly deserving winner of the Telecoms Surveyor of the Year Award.” Thank you to our headline sponsors Cluttons! WHP Telecoms Limited are delighted to be part of this important milestone in modernising the UK’s digital infrastructure. In collaboration as ongoing partners with Openreach, CommScope and Constant Group, we look forward to building a more connected, resilient, and digitally empowered future for the UK. Matthew Milne - MD of WHP Fixed Line Division; "WHP is proud to play a pivotal role in supporting Openreach’s nationwide fibre rollout. Through the delivery and future-proofing of next-generation connectivity, we are enabling millions of people and businesses to benefit from fast, reliable broadband that drives innovation, strengthens communities, and enhances everyday life.“ #Connectivity #DigitalInfrastructure #Telecoms #Partnership #WHP
Modernising the UK’s digital infrastructure 📢 We're taking a major step forward in supporting the UK’s transition to #FullFibre broadband by retiring thousands of legacy copper-based telephone exchanges. This is more than just an upgrade, it’s a transformation of how #connectivity is delivered across the country. To make this shift seamless for our Communications Provider (CP) customers and their end users, we're deploying innovative cross-connection cabinets. These allow CPs to relocate critical network infrastructure from closing exchanges without disrupting service - avoiding the need to move everything to a new exchange. ✅ Reduced disruption ✅ Smarter infrastructure ✅ Future-ready connectivity Thank you to our build partners WHP Telecoms Limited, CommScope, Constant Group, David Gilligan 👏 Watch below to see how this solution is helping build a faster, more resilient network for the UK ⬇️

WHP hosted our 2025 HSSEQ Supplier & Customer Engagement Day yesterday. A full day, with 150 in attendance, it was kicked off by our CEO Rob Potter, and had a number of management speakers including Patrick O'Sullivan (Business Support Director), Christopher Belfield (Head of HSSEQ), Steven Davies (Construction Director), Steven McGuire (Construction Manager), Gary Hibbert and Andrew Quinn (Design Directors). A packed agenda covering WHP Values, our commitment to and expectations of our supply chain, a general business update, and our pledge to the highest standards of H&S, Quality, and a high-performance culture. It was great to see industry colleagues from Vodafone, Cellnex UK, Cornerstone, Three UK, and Mobile Broadband Network Ltd (MBNL) in attendance and a sincere thank you to Anthony Heys (Vodafone) and Bobby Moinazad (Cellnex) for their contribution on the Building Safety Act slot. It has a hugely positive impact when our customers contribute to the day in this way. We took a slightly different angle in the afternoon, handing the day over to Emma Bowens of Bowens Solutions Limited, who along with 5 professional actors took us all through a mock court room scenario following a fatality on site as a result of a cable strike. It would be an understatement to say we had a captivated audience, and it gave huge food for thought to all in the room with a really robust discussion following. Thanks to our Head of HSSEQ (Christopher Belfield) for arranging a successful day. It is now his job to convince our Compliance Manager, Kevin Robinson, to return the judge’s wig and that he is not a court room judge in real life! Thanks to all who came, it was truly great to see you all. #WHP #RightFirstTime #Quality #HealthandSafety #Telecoms
