Williams Jet Tenders had the distinct honour of welcoming His Royal Highness The Duke of Gloucester to its Oxfordshire facilities last week. Winner of SME Apprentice of the Year and Best of British at the Enginuity Skills Awards and proud advocate for lifelong growth. We’re closing our five-day celebration with someone whose story is as inspiring as it is important. Anisha Roberts didn’t take the traditional route into engineering. She started out as a teaching assistant in the SEN sector before making a bold move into the world of manufacturing. A change of direction that required courage, commitment and a deep belief that it’s never too late to learn something new. She is now thriving as an Apprentice Engineer, already recognised at a national level for her drive, skill and impact. Her passion for engineering is matched by her passion for people. She regularly advocates for others considering a career switch, speaking openly about the challenges and rewards that come with starting again. What stands out most about Anisha is her mindset. She talks about growth being timeless. She proves that it’s possible to change direction and still find your place. And she shows that fresh voices have just as much to contribute as seasoned ones. Anisha, congratulations. You are a brilliant example of what this industry needs more of.
