We're pleased to have been joined by Rebecca Florisson, Principal Analyst at the Work Foundation at Lancaster University on our WorkL Answers series – discussing the disability employment gap. 📌 Some key points: 📉 Even when employed, disabled people are often paid less and have worse working conditions. 😟 Disabled workers are about 1.5 times more likely than non-disabled workers to be in "severely insecure work". 💪 Flexible working options like working from home can help disabled workers manage their health alongside their jobs. 🛠️ Proper support from a line manager and having the right tools and equipment are also essential for disabled employees to succeed.
