🗨️ Our CEO Alois Krtil has been saying it for a long time: “It’s important to think Quantum Computing and AI together.” That’s exactly why the Hamburg Quantum Initiative is embedded within Artificial Intelligence Center Hamburg (ARIC) e.V. – to leverage synergies between these two transformative technologies. Dr. Natalie Rotermund from our team attended the World Summit AI in Amsterdam together with the PINKTUM Delegation to find out how much quantum and other future computing technologies are already happing within the AI community. Quantum has somehow arrived in the AI world - visible through: 🔷 the presence of our friends from Quantum Delta NL 🔷 an inspiring talk by the Dutch research center QuSoft on the intersection of AI and Quantum 🔷 and talks and sessions where quantum computing was part of the broader perspective and discussions   While Quantum wasn’t the main focus of the Summit (yet), the trend is unmistakable: 🌍 Quantum computing is no longer limited to specialized fairs but is reaching broader tech and innovation stages. This development reinforces our mission. We especially welcome the growing diversification and differentiation of computational technologies – seen for example, during the session on Mortal and Immortal Computing. Contributions like this show that the AI community is becoming increasingly aware of the potential offered by hardware concepts beyond traditional CMOS Von Neumann architectures. 🌟 The impressions from the Netherlands make us optimistic and inspired: ➡️ Quantum and AI are growing closer together – and we are right in the middle of it.

🌍 I attended the World Summit AI in Amsterdam last week — and what an incredible experience it was! From deep-dive technical workshops to thought-provoking panels, every moment was a reminder of how fast the AI landscape is evolving — and how vital it is to build systems that stay grounded in the ethos of AI. What stood out for me is this — the world is turning to Europe for its moral compass. 🇪🇺 ✨ Highlights from my experience: • Karen Hao’s brilliant session on the parallels between empires of AI and empires of old — a powerful reflection on the sociotechnical forces shaping our world. • Jason Alan Snyder’s talk , “Time Worth Wasting,” which offered a poetic reminder that curiosity and imperfections are still our most radical forms of intelligence. • A dynamic panel with Joost Smit (Google Cloud ), who spoke about Luxembourg’s pioneering role in Europe’s emerging tech sovereignty ecosystem— couldn’t be more proud of this tiny, yet mighty country 🇱🇺! From the same panel, it was worth noting Canada’s ‘Responsible’ AI initiatives through CEIMIA represented by Stephanie King. Future appears to be in good hands! 🙌 💻Hands-on workshops with the three big tech giants: • 🧠 NVIDIA’s session, moderated by Ziv Ilan and Rita Neves, on adding knowledge to the LLMs and model optimisation techniques. • ☁️ AWS workshop on streamlining agent deployment to production using Amazon Bedrock AgentCore — a powerful bridge from prototype to production presented by Jagdeep Soni (AWS) • 🎬 Google’s Vertex AI workshop on building and narrating AI-powered stories that inspire and inform by Kamilla Kurta. It was also wonderful to connect with inspiring members of the Women in AI Benelux and Women in Product NL community — insightful exchanges, shared laughter, and a collective sense of purpose in shaping a more inclusive AI future. Feeling inspired, challenged, and deeply energized by the people and ideas that made this summit so meaningful. 🤝 Thank you to everyone I met, learned from, and shared this journey with! Anastasia I. My take-aways from the World Summit AI: - It is a huge opportunity to meet the AI community, discuss & reflect new developments and get inspiration from innovative startups. - Personal conversations are more valuable than presentations with impressive slides and videos. - The focus seems to remain on local optimization/automation rather than rethinking and redesigning future business. By combining the global summit with a focus group seminar with innovation leaders, we were able to develop and take away concrete ideas for our own company in the age of AI. #businessmodel #innovation

✨ Back from World Summit AI Amsterdam 2025 and still buzzing with ideas, insights, and inspiration! The theme this year — “Back to the Future: It’s About Time” — was more than a slogan. It captured perfectly the urgency and opportunity we face in forging an AI-powered future. 🧭 Key takeaways & what everyone can follow: 1. Design AI with ownership, not dependency. Too many organizations lean on third-party models without retaining control of data, IP, or governance. We must shift toward more sovereign AI strategies. 2. Memory, context, persistence matter. For agents and long-lived AI, architectural decisions about memory and state are going to be among the make-or-break factors. 🧠🤖 3. Human‑centric, ethically grounded design is non‑negotiable. As power concentrates in models and platforms, trust, transparency, and inclusive design must be foundational, not afterthoughts. 🤨 4. AI is not abstract — it’s about lives, cities, environments. Seeing real use cases in civic, urban, climate, and social domains reminded me that impact isn’t just in tech labs — it’s in streets, homes, communities. 🌏 5. Partnerships and collaboration get us further. The intersection of enterprises, startups, public sector and academia was a recurring theme. I’ve been reflecting on attending World Summit AI last week and all the fascinating discussions and ideas shared 💡 My favourite demo was at the Google booth showing a working prototype of an app being made from scratch with just a few prompts! A great example of both the scary and exciting progress with Ai 🤖 As well as the brilliant showcase of Ai innovation, this was also a really enjoyable event I’d recommend.
