Alex’s vision has continued through his employees, who have been with the company since day one and continue to keep his legacy of technical excellence alive. Beyond funding the development of creative immersive work in the UK, the Immersive Arts UK programme is also working on valuable industry research. The first official report has been published on ‘The Early Days of the Immersive Exhibition Network’, authored by the fabulous Amy Densley, Tom Abba, and Verity McIntosh. Northampton to make history with the first combined music festival and disability event of its kind in the UK. The collaboration sees NN Fest, produced by MOSounds Ltd, providing the music festival infrastructure and atmosphere, while Nick’s Access Outdoors CIC is bringing cutting-edge all-terrain mobility technology and accessible adventure experiences. Suzy Jones, Operations Director from MOSounds, said: "We believe music has the power to unite people, so collaborating on the UK's first combined music festival and disability event feels like a natural step forward. We had such fantastic feedback on accessibility at a few of our previous events and feel it’s really important to show people how outdoor festivals can make minor adjustments that make a huge difference to wheelchair users. This shouldn’t be special and exciting, it should be the norm. This partnership allows us to create something truly groundbreaking - where great music meets innovative accessibility, ensuring everyone can be part of the celebration at Delapré Abbey." Nick Wilson commented: "We're bringing together two things that can help us get through tough times - music and getting outdoors. Combining a disability event with a music festival is totally unique and takes it away from being a solely disabled and fairly formal affair, to a fully inclusive and fun event for everyone." Pre-registered guests can experience the fun and freedom of an all-terrain around Delapré Abbey grounds, alongside free access to the festival. The experience caters to newcomers to adaptive mobility, showing them what's possible in a vibrant, celebratory atmosphere. Additional features include: • Live music programme • Live demos of latest mobility technology • A mobile Changing Place by RevoLOOtion • A quiet sensory zone ran by Virtual Reality Therapies and supported by SENDS 4 Dad • Representation from local access to work and disabilities coaching, Empower Access Thrive Richard Clinton, Chief Executive of Delapré Abbey, said: “We’re proud to be hosting this collaboration between NN Fest and Access Outdoors here at Delapré Abbey. We’re calling on UK and EU policymakers to break down the post-Brexit barriers holding back the next generation of touring artists. Our data shows a 27% reduction in live performance claims by PRS members for small and medium sized European events and festivals between 2019 and 2023, mirroring the findings of the Best for Britain research into the decline of British acts on European festival line-ups. Live music isn’t just a show, it’s a lifeline for artists, songwriters, venues and the entire creative ecosystem. We're working with industry partners to campaign for practical solutions that help musicians get back on the road and keep the live industry thriving across Europe.
