As ICT Week Uzbekistan, organized by the The Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, approaches, it’s important to remember: digital transformation isn’t just about technology — it’s about infrastructure, jobs, investment, and long-term impact for the entire country. One example I’m especially proud of is our partnership with Uzbekistan’s national postal operator — Uzbekistan Post JSC UzPost . In just over a year, we’ve built deep integration between Uzum Market and the postal system: • Over 650 postal branches across the country now serve as Uzum Market pickup points • More than 10% of all platform orders are delivered via the national postal network • By 2026, we aim to expand to 1,050 branches and handle 30% of all orders This is what it means to merge technology with physical infrastructure — and bring digital services to every region of Uzbekistan. In just three years, Uzum has invested over $300 million into national IT and logistics infrastructure. In the next 3–4 years, we plan to invest another $1.5 billion — in infrastructure, jobs, and socially important partnerships. We plan further expand integration and make our partnership strategic with UzPost. At Uzum, we believe that as a leading national tech player we could empower postal and logistics services by bringing technologies, launching products in synergy with existing postal infrastructure, and play one of the key roles in developing technological sovereignty of Uzbekistan! Uzum is now not only the country’s largest digital ecosystem, but also a key partner of Uzbekistan Post, a top taxpayer, and the creator of 12,000+ direct jobs, not counting thousands of SMEs scaling on our platform. Together with the National Agency for social protection under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan , we’ve delivered essential rehabilitation goods and first-need items to more than 110,000 citizens, using the joint logistics networks of Uzum Market and Uzbekistan Post. It’s exactly these kinds of synergies — between national tech platforms and institutions — that strengthen Uzbekistan’s technological sovereignty and lay the foundation for regional leadership in digital innovation, and, over time, for global competitiveness in IT. The support of the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan ensures that these partnerships are not only possible but also scalable — helping to attract international capital, modernize infrastructure, and create sustainable growth for the entire economy. International Monetary Fund: Kazakhstan Achieves Highest GDP Per Capita in Region IMF data show that this year, Kazakhstan’s GDP per capita will reach $14,770, surpassing Russia ($14,260), Turkmenistan ($13,340) and even China ($13,690). Georgia follows with $9,570, Armenia with $8,860, and other countries of the region at lower levels. The IMF noted that Kazakhstan’s success is driven by significant natural resource reserves, diversification of exports, consistent reforms to improve the business climate, and active attraction of foreign investment. Strategic location, participation in major international initiatives, and stable macroeconomic policies have also strengthened its position.
