The OVEZ scheme provides a clear pathway to compliant, future-ready EV infrastructure, delivered through a streamlined process from survey and design to installation, commissioning and support. Irwin M&E’s approval demonstrates compliance with UK standards for safety, quality and smart charging, and unlocks access to government backed funding for our clients across home, workplace, and landlord schemes. Our site in Wakefield is one of the first to be equipped with high-powered truck chargers. This time-lapse shows the installation, part of a three-site programme delivered with our electrification partner, VEV, covering Wakefield, Tilbury, and Doncaster. 17 chargers in total are being installed across the three locations, supporting the arrival of our first battery-electric trucks later this year. These sites form the start of a wider electrification plan. In total, 13 Maritime locations will be fitted with truck charging infrastructure by the end of the year. 🚍 Exciting News! Work officially begins on Salisbury Reds’ electric bus depot! EO Charging is proud to be delivering the charging infrastructure that will power 23 new electric buses arriving early next year. Thanks to collaboration with Wiltshire Council and support from the Zero Emission Bus Regional Area (ZEBRA) scheme, this £15 million project will include 12 new charging points, boosting sustainable transport across Salisbury’s city services and the Stonehenge tour. This milestone will bring huge benefits: expected annual CO₂ savings of over 1,000 tonnes, cleaner air, and electric buses that cost around 25% less to run compared to diesel. 🌱 A huge shout-out to the entire team - this is more than installing chargers. September sets a new record for the most EVs registered in a month! ⚡🚗 As reported by the latest Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) figures, September 2025 was the best month on record for battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and accounted for more than one in five new registered cars. It’s a clear sign that the UK’s shift to cleaner, more sustainable transport is gaining real momentum with all 'electrified' vehicles (including hybrids) making up more than half of all new cars registered.
