Brevan Howard Master Fund turns positive for 2025. $34 billion hedge fund Brevan Howard's flagship Master fund gained 1.65% in September, bringing its year-to-date returns to 0.26%. The fund was down 1.4% at the end of August despite ticking up 1.1% in the same month. Brevan Howard’s Alpha Strategies fund, which manages $11 billion in assets, gained 1.15% last month, extending its year-to-date returns to 6.56%. September was a fruitful month for the hedge fund industry as funds advanced 2.4% on average, according to research firm HFR. The jump was led by macro funds that advanced 3.4% on average.
