Great to see the Group maintain its position as the UK’s lead investor in spinouts, with Parkwalk Advisors, our EIS fund management business, continuing to lead the way. Parkwalk Advisors’s annual Equity Investment into Spinouts report 2025, in conjunction with Beauhurst, reveals 2024 was a record year for spinout investment with £3.35bn in funding. Together with Parkwalk Advisors, the Group backed 54 spinouts in 2024 across the UK, making us the UK’s biggest investor in the sector. Greg Smith, CEO of IP Group plc, said: “We’re proud to see the Group maintain its position as the UK’s lead investor in spinouts, with Parkwalk continuing to set the pace across the sector. The UK has nurtured one of the world’s leading ecosystems for academic innovation - but without scale-up capital, we risk missing a once-in-a-generation opportunity.
