In a recent article with the RIBA Journal, Marth Tsigkari, Senior Partner and Head of Applied R+D at Foster + Partners, discusses how architects should be planning for an AI-charged future: “There are an inordinate amount of things where AI and ML (machine learning) will reinvent the industry, or can help us. ♻️ The Edenica scheme led by Fletcher Priest Architects marks a pioneering use of materials passports in the City of London https://ow.ly/FRTm50WrSZL The recently completed 8,400m2 speculative office development is the first in the City to systemically implement a standardised approach to material passports according to the practice, which has collaborated on the initiative with engineering consultant Waterman Group. The materials passports process also informed the design development to facilitate circularity, for example the use of bolted steel connections. “There was no point doing the passports if nothing could be reused and taken apart,” says Fletcher Priest senior associate Mark Sutton.
