Typography lasts. Looking at these old packs, from Coca-Cola and Kellogg’s to Marmite, Twinings, Maille, and KitKat, almost everything has changed. The pack shape, the materials, the imagery, the claims, even the colours. And yet, you know exactly what each of them is instantly. That’s the power of typography. The letterforms are so distinctive, so ingrained in memory, that they anchor recognition even as everything else evolves. It’s a reminder that while packaging must adapt with time, some brand assets are too valuable to tinker with. Typography isn’t just style, it’s continuity, recognition, and equity built over decades.

As the son of a retired music teacher who also loves cars - this campaign struck a chord. A digital Out-of-Home campaign from Audi UK translating the engines of its RS models into sheet music 🎼🎵 Each creative features a single line of sheet music, created by composer Ben Parry, that translates the notations of a specific Audi model named underneath - such as the E-tron and RS3. The campaign is a great example of the opportunities on offer to be brand bold and demand audience attention creatively through the public screen of OOH.
