It's rubbish I can't use it If I had a pound for every time I've heard that about SharePoint.. Here's the truth Most people have no idea what SharePoint can do. Teams are expected to be innovative when they don't know what they don't know. So they do it themselves upload terabytes of files into folders and the "digital transformation" box is checked.. Search doesn't work no one actually knows how to use it Everything feels chaotic And suddenly, "this platform is useless.." But we just finised working with a company that took a different approach with our guidance. → No shortcuts → we taught them first of all what SharePoint could do with them so they could make the right decisions for their business. → they cleaned up structure and search → they sorted out how the data, governance and content structure needed to look → created team specific workflow → they aligned it to how people actually work and provided practical scenario based learning And the results? 27% increase in document collaboration speed 51% fewer internal support tickets Time to find critical files dropped by 62% The most surprising stat? One of the reasons I am such a staunch advocate of SharePoint out of the box is that it already contains so much goodness. A tricky one in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Capacity vs Efficiency. The most common mistake? Set up capacity at 1 and efficiency at 100% on everything only to find out you need to setup 250 work centres. Let's clarify: - Capacity measures the volume of work users can complete in a work centre for a single calendar entry, E.G. if I can use three machines in my assembly department to work on three separate production orders at the same time, I set up capacity as three. I don’t need to create three separate work or machine centres unless I want to use them individually and capacity planning is a constrain; which rarely is the case when working with SMEs. Fractional capacity is only recommended in specific cases. - Efficiency measures the speed of the machines or operators in that department. Efficiency lower than 100% means the time required to perform the specific operations as per the routing lines will take longer but reduced efficiency cannot be balanced by increased capacity. How do you set up efficiency? Use efficiency as a buffer time for machines that don't always perform at a regular speed. In both cases, efficiency and capacity affect planning and production time on calendar entries. These fields are not intended to be static, but are supposed to be updated regularly on calendar entries so that shop floor managers can correctly account for downtimes due to maintenance, repairs or absences.

🔥 Dynamics 365 Contact Center - Feature Release Wave 2 Announced 🔥 Yesterday Microsoft announced the list of features planned for release from October 2025 to March 2026 relating to Dynamics 365 Contact Center. General Availability (GA) for all features except one (*) is currently shown as October 2025, I expect as we have across RW1 we'll see iterative updates to the feature list across the next period. A simple, effective way to stay in control and prevent user disruptions. What if you wrote most of your Apex code like this? This is pure business logic. There's no mention of queries, DML operations, bypass logic, governor limits and all that. This is as close as you can get to the actual business requirement: "When an opportunity is closed won, create a contract". You can test this code with pure unit testing. If most of your code was written like this, then most of your tests wouldn't even need to call the database. This is known as the "functional core". Of course, you have to wrap this code with "infrastructure logic", which actually takes care of querying, updating the database, etc. You can learn more about modelling business logic in Apex at awaf.dev
