Returning to work after a career break can feel overwhelming, but it can also be exactly what you need as well as benefitting the business you join. After five years away from the workforce to raise her children, Mariam Thomas returned with a renewed sense of purpose and a heap of transferable skills. Today Mariam is thriving as a project manager in our nuclear team where she helps to deliver complex programmes that support the UK’s transition to low carbon energy. 💚 We're delighted to launch our new Mental Health Framework (2025 – 2030) - Together We Thrive: Building a Community for Mental Health. This framework sets out our vision for the next five years, focusing on how we can continue to support the mental health and wellbeing of our patients and families across GOSH, alongside their physical health. It builds on some excellent models that we already have in place throughout GOSH, and brings together best practice, experience and innovation - making sure we're responding to the mental health needs of our patients. RCSI has partnered with Workvivo by Zoom to launch FOLLÁINE which will be the first evidence-based workplace health and well-being programme to combine science from both positive psychology and lifestyle medicine.   Folláine (which means health and well-being), brings together expertise from the RCSI Centre for Positive Health Sciences and Workvivo’s leading workplace platform and support from Enterprise Ireland’s Innovation Partnership Programme.
