BigChange wins Queens Award

During these difficult times, it is important to celebrate the little wins, the triumphs and the events that remind us why we love doing what we do. This is one of those moments for me.

I’m delighted to announce that BigChange has won a Queen’s Award for Enterprise, one of the highest honours for British companies - and an accolade that is recognised the world over.

We were recognised in the Innovation category for our development of JobWatch, our mobile workforce management software. Innovation is at the heart of everything we do here, so the honour makes me incredibly proud.

It is important to say that this is not just my achievement; it’s a collective triumph. My brilliant colleagues here at BigChange have worked tirelessly to deliver JobWatch. I also want to thank our customers, who believed in us, and use JobWatch every day to grow and transform their own industries.

Of all the awards we’ve won since I launched BigChange in 2013, the Queens Awards stands out as a major milestone. Created by the Queen back in 1965, this is one of the most longstanding awards programmes.

We are in fine company, joining brands like Dyson, Fever Tree and McLaren. Over the last half a century, just 6000 businesses have received a Queen’s Award.

The awards ceremony is due to take place later this year at Buckingham Palace. It’s a sobering thought that the event may not take place if the pandemic continues to threaten national safety. I may not get to meet the Queen but, whatever happens, I’m so grateful for this positive news. Thank you, and happy 94th birthday to Her Majesty.
