🌍 Public Comment Period Now Open! 🌍 Every project seeking to register in a Verra standards program undergoes a 30-day public comment period. The public comment periods for the projects listed here opened during the week of July 28.   The list includes projects seeking registration and/or verification in the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) and the Climate, Community & Biodiversity Standards (CCBS) Programs.   📍The projects are located in various countries, such as Brazil, Congo, Guatemala, Nigeria, and South Africa. Not all carbon credit claims are the same. Carbon credits are used for different purposes, from meeting regulatory obligations to supporting climate action beyond value chains. As the market evolves, so too do the types of claims buyers make. Policymakers must understand what this means for their national targets.
