As Calastone operates the world’s largest funds network, this appears positive for SS&C as it will integrate this with its Global Investor & Distribution Solutions platform to provide real-time, automated fund processing. #funds #mergersandacquisitions

Family Office Report. Citi has released their annual survey (161 pages) and as usual, I'm digging into the structure and management of the total office (from page 73) * Fostering family unity & continuity is a distant 3rd in terms of focus (33%) * Reporting (63%) was the main service performed internally (no wonder tech is front of mind) * Asset size ($500M) is a determining factor in insource vs outsource * Family office education needs rise for G2 & G3 offices * 64% of large offices and 48% of smaller offices had a CIO * Larger offices more likely to use external advisers * Resourcing remains a challenge - page 88 has the detail for those servicing this client type * Investment committees are becoming the norm for larger offices (but should be for all sizes) * Investment Governance is a "work in progress" page 91. * Roadblocks for Technology Solutions (page 109) is lack of internal expertise (57%) and lack of awareness of options (57%). ** Measuring via benchmarks was the main metric (below) which is hard to do without accurate reporting.
