Birmingham’s cultural calendar continues to shine with events that celebrate the city’s diversity and creativity. Last week, Laura Mvula joined the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO) for a powerful and inspiring performance as part of the Classically Black Festival - a celebration of Black Lives in Music that spotlights exceptional Black talent across classical and contemporary genres. The event also welcomed members of the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce Black Business Collective, reflecting the strength and collaboration within Birmingham’s creative and business communities. As we mark Black History Month, it serves as a timely reminder of the talent, stories, and voices that make Birmingham such a vibrant and inspiring place to live, work, and visit. #VisitBirmingham #BlackHistoryMonth #Birmingham #Culture #CBSO #LauraMvula #BlackLivesInMusic #ClassicallyBlackFestival

🥘 YUMMY BRUMMY Last weekend, the West Midlands’ culinary offer filled six pages of the Saturday papers (three in the Daily Mirror, three in the Daily Express), as well as on the Mirror Online. Delighted to work with my good pal Fiona Whitty, pitching the idea to her earlier this year and creating an itinerary to feature our Birmingham balti’s 50th anniversary, and other great Asian cuisine. A massive thank you to Andy Munro; Zafar Hussain at Shababs; PushkaR Birmingham; Rai Singh; Anita Champaneri; The Vine West Bromwich; Bharat Patel; The Grand Hotel Birmingham; Lee Clarke… and to Nigel Thompson for always being so accommodating with our West Midlands story ideas. #tourism #balti #food #cuisine #birmingham #sandwell #westmidlands
