A Villanova Wawa has opened on the Villanova University campus in the Connolly Center.

Returning Villanova University students won’t have far to go when Wawa cravings hit. The Delaware County-based convenience store chain has opened a Villanova Wawa store on the campus, writes Hanah Hammond for CSP Daily News.

“We’ve officially opened at Villanova University, bringing our [next-generation] design into the Connelly Center renovation just in time to welcome students back,” Adrian Cortes, manager of architectural design at Wawa, posted Thursday on LinkedIn. “Even more exciting, this store introduces the Wawa brand and offers to many students who may be experiencing this East Coast favorite for the first time!”

Unique to the Villanova campus, the store accepts not only cash and credit, but points and Nova Bucks, a debit account for students.

The store is on the lower level of the Connelly Center, joining an art gallery, lounges, meeting rooms, a coffee shop, an ice cream shop, and faculty dining in the 67,000-square-foot building.

Wawa President and CEO Chris Gheysens graduated from the Villanova School of Business in 1993, according to Villanova’s website.

The convenience store retailer has been at other campuses. In August 2023, it opened an all-digital store at Drexel University.
