🌱 European Union delegation pay us a visit in Ben Tre 🍫
Yesterday, we had the honor of welcoming a distinguished delegation to Puratos Grand-Place Vietnam, including more than 20 high-level representatives from the EU Delegation and 13 European embassies. The delegation included Ambassadors from EU Delegation, Ireland, Lithuania, Estonia, Bulgaria, Finland, Croatia, Czechia, and Belgium; representatives from the embassies of Germany, Portugal, France, Spain, Hungary, and Poland; the Country Director and Project Manager of Helvetas, and the Director of CDC.
Their presence reflects a strong shared commitment to sustainable agriculture and innovation in Vietnam’s cocoa sector.
Together, we explored our joint efforts in regenerative farming, circular economy, and farmer livelihood improvement, including the transformation of cocoa husks (which make up 70–80% of the pod) into biochar, biomaterials, and animal feed.
Our guests toured our fermentation center and cocoa mass production facility, where they experienced the full journey from bean to cocoa mass. They also learned about the Cacao-Trace program and how our practices go beyond industry norms, beautifully shared by our founder, Gricha Safarian.
🍫 The visit concluded with a tasting of our 60DAYS chocolate, crafted from Vietnam-origin beans and produced within just 60 days. A true taste of innovation!
We’re excited about the future of cocoa in Vietnam and look forward to more initiatives that uplift our farmers and the entire value chain.
