80% de los líderes tecnológicos colombianos cuestiona a los sistemas tecnológicos preexistentes 20/10/2025 (Colombia) Más de la mitad (53,1%) de los líderes tecnológicos colombianos consideran que pierden el 10% o más de sus negocios potenciales por cuenta de la falta de tecnología verdaderamente inclusiva en su organización, mientras que más de uno de cada cuatro (28,4 %) cree que la cifra es del 20% o mayor, según el primer Índice de Inclusión Técnica. Dicho reporte también revela una fuerte conexión entre el estado de la infraestructura técnica de una empresa y su capacidad para llegar a sectores de clientes nuevos, además de destacar las barreras técnicas y tecnológicas ocultas que afectan a las empresas en términos económicos, de nuevos negocios y de innovación. “Durante la última década, tanto los países latinoamericanos como Estados Unidos han experimentado transformaciones revolucionarias en materia de inclusión digital y financiera”, explicó Abdul Assal, director de desarrollo de negocio para Brasil y Colombia. “Encargamos el primer Índice de Inclusión Técnica para identificar los pasos a seguir para los líderes de ambos continentes, de modo que podamos seguir incluyendo a clientes nuevos y desatendidos durante la próxima década”. En agosto de 2025, Galileo conversó con más de 600 directores de tecnología y de informática en las Américas (Argentina, Brasil, Colombia, México y Estados Unidos) sobre los desafíos tecnológicos que pueden limitar la inclusión, como problemas de compatibilidad entre infraestructura preexistente, riesgos de seguridad y cumplimiento normativo, y la resistencia al cambio en la cultura empresarial. La empresa seleccionó específicamente a líderes de los siguientes sectores: sector financiero (banca, finanzas y seguros); TI y telecomunicaciones; comercio minorista y servicios de alimentación; y viajes y hotelería; considerando que estos se encuentran a la vanguardia de las transacciones financieras, la fidelización y la inclusión financiera. El reporte ofrece también lecciones oportunas y perspectivas sorprendentes para los líderes tecnológicos de Latinoamérica y Estados Unidos. Algunos datos locales destacados incluyen que el 80,3% de los líderes tecnológicos colombianos coincide en que la preocupación por las vulnerabilidades de seguridad frena sus esfuerzos por mejorar la accesibilidad e inclusión de los servicios, mientras que casi la mitad (49,4%) admitió que lanzar una nueva función inclusiva para empleados o clientes podría ser difícil o impensable actualmente debido a problemas de integración con los sistemas actuales. “Si bien nuestros resultados indican que los líderes latinoamericanos son más conscientes y están más preocupados por las barreras ocultas que pueden limitar la capacidad de una empresa para ofrecer productos y servicios inclusivos, también descubrimos que la cultura empresarial estadounidense está más en sintonía con la combinación de inclusión y tecnología como parte de sus esfuerzos futuros”, aseguró Assal. De igual forma, destacó que el 74,8% de los encuestados estadounidenses considera muy probable o algo probable que los líderes de las empresas prioricen la inclusión en futuras iniciativas de modernización técnica, en comparación con el 68,9% de los encuestados latinoamericanos. Sin embargo, en comparación con sus homólogos estadounidenses, el 40% de los encuestados colombianos del sector financiero (banca, finanzas y seguros) afirmó que esta priorización es muy probable, cifra superior al 35% de sus homólogos estadounidenses. “Como empresa estadounidense con profundas raíces en Latinoamérica, esperamos que este reporte fomente un mayor intercambio de conocimientos y aprendizaje entre líderes de todos los países”, concluyó Assal. “Es evidente que cada país presenta desafíos únicos, en el caso de Colombia hay una gran expectativa de transformar los sistemas preexistentes y fortalecer la interoperabilidad, así que ponemos nuestra reciente y amplia trayectoria de inclusión financiera y digital al servicio de los colombianos para lograr este objetivo”.
