Leader Group is proud to be partnering with a leading Therapeutic Education Service to recruit an enthusiastic and skilled SEN Maths Teacher to join their dedicated team in High Wycombe.

About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and creative Maths Teacher to deliver engaging and accessible lessons for students with a variety of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, communication difficulties, and trauma-related behaviours.

As part of a nurturing, multidisciplinary team, your role will involve:

  • Planning and teaching inspiring Maths lessons across Key Stages, tailored to individual learning needs.

  • Supporting pupils in developing literacy, comprehension, and confidence in spoken and written communication.

  • Providing constructive feedback to guide progress and celebrate achievement.

  • Creating a positive, therapeutic learning environment where every child feels valued and safe.

  • Working collaboratively with support staff and therapists to ensure holistic progress for each learner.

Ideal Candidate:

We re looking for someone who is:

  • Qualified holding QTS or QTLS (essential).

  • Experienced in SEN, SEMH, or alternative provision settings.

  • Passionate about supporting students who may have experienced barriers to learning.

  • Empathetic and patient, with a commitment to inclusive, trauma-informed practice.

  • Collaborative, with a team-oriented mindset and a desire to contribute to a positive school culture.
