What is intelligence? What does it really mean when an individual is perceived to be intelligent? What makes someone intelligent? When can you say that one is not?
What is Intelligence?
The fact is intelligence is always a matter of perception. It is how you think of someone. It is how you think of yourself. It is a judgment. You are intelligent. He is intelligent. You are not intelligent. He is not intelligent. It is one’s conclusion based on what he observes, how he reacts to things or how he does things.
Intelligence is an estimate of the quality attributed to one’s decision-making skills and abstract thinking. Intelligence is a term that cannot be specifically defined because it means a gazillion of things to different people.
The general definition of intelligence is that it is your cognitive problem-solving skills. It is the mental ability involved in calculating, reasoning, perceiving analogies, and learning quickly, among others.
