Why I Wrote This Book
I wrote this book to share my knowledge and experience with an industry of which I’ve been a customer for over 40 years – the pet care services business.
As a dog lover over that period of time, I know the math is compelling! Take 40 years x annual boarding nights x average cost per night x average no. of dogs living in my household per year. Well, the numbers are significant! Let’s just say I’ve allotted significant time and money in caring for my lovable dachshunds. I’m currently caring for dachshunds #11 and #12.
As a long-time customer, I’ve come to appreciate the many pet care service providers who have cared for my pups across the USA … from Des Moines and Chicago to San Francisco and now Seattle. You see, I traveled internationally for business during those years (and moved quite a bit) and was a steady consumer of dog boarding and daycare services.
Given my passion for dogs, it was a natural fit when I left my corporate career in publishing and marketing to start a marketing consulting business that supports owners of pet care service businesses in achieving their goals.
I’ve written The Pet Care Business Owner’s Customer Loyalty Formula for you, the pet care business owner, no doubt passionate about the care of pets, to strip away any fears or questions you may have about adopting technology in your marketing efforts. My intention is to get you excited about a proven platform to secure your loyal customers and keep them coming back for more.
This book is for you if, as a pet care business owner, you are:
Feeling any fear about investing in technology for your business
Worried about keeping your loyal customers
Interested in improving your customer service
Needing a way to reach your customers quickly on-the-fly
Wanting to reduce the crush time at your front desk during check-in
Thinking of expanding your services and offerings
Wanting a closer relationship with your current clients
Worried inefficiencies in your operations are slowing your growth
Wanting to get more out of your social media investment
Seeking ways to reach your clients with video
Busy creating marketing content but not sure it’s getting read or consumed
Concerned about competition both national (e.g., Rover.com, DogVacay, franchises) and local
Wanting a competitive edge
Tired of working long hours
Ready to engage with the millennial audience
Wanting to go mobile but don't know how
Looking for ways to reduce costs and bring more to your bottom line
Seeking ways to grow your revenue
If you relate to one or more of the above scenarios, then this book is for you!
I hope you find the book informative, helpful and inspiring.
