Living by the Word of God

About this ebook
Some years ago, our family needed a second car.
We opened the Bible to Isaiah 55 verse 1: Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters;
And you who have no money come, buy grain and eat.
Come, buy wine and milk Without money and without cost...
Then, we opened the window and spoke to the air:
According to the Word of God, we take a car without money. After two weeks someone called us who had a Mercedes C Class and asked us if we wanted it. The person had serviced it, payed all the taxes on it for us and handed
over the keys without asking any money for it.
This was Gods Word in action. When we live by the Word of God, we live a supernatural life. Gods Word has the power to call things into existence, do the impossible and change the unchangeable.
This book is a simple guide to solving all different kinds of problems and answers questions on how to live a victorious life.

Angels
Did you know that angels accompany every believer? They are there to help us, guide us, and minister to us. We can call on them in times of need. We can draw them nearer by speaking out the Word of God, but we can also deter them by negative words. Psalm 103:20 says that angels hearken to the voice of the Word of God. Elijah’s depression was so severe that he wanted to die. In 1 Kings 19:4, he asked God, ‘O Lord, take away my life.’ But as he lay asleep, an angel touched him and said to him, ‘Arise and eat.’ When we feel sad and hopeless, we can call on angels for support and strength.
When Jesus was carrying the cross, an angel came and ministered to Him (Luke 22:43). When the Israelites cried out to the Lord, He sent an angel to bring them out of Egypt. Angels are our servants whom we can send out to reap our harvest when we have sown seeds, as in Hebrews 1:14. They also keep us from accidents, preserve our ways, and lead us to the place God has prepared for us. You need an angel to lead and guide you to the next level in your life, so call on your assigned angel today.
Exodus 23:20
Behold, I send an Angel before you to keep and guard you on the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared.
Numbers 20:16
But when we cried out to the Lord [for help], He heard us and sent an angel and brought us out of Egypt. Now look, we are in Kadesh, a city on the edge of your territory.
1 Kings 19:4-5
But he (Elijah) himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness and came and sat down under a lone broom or juniper tree and asked that he might die. He said, It is enough; now, O Lord, take away my life; for I am no better than my fathers. As he lay asleep under the broom or juniper tree, behold, an angel touched him and said to him, Arise and eat.
Psalm 34:7
The Angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him [who revere and worship Him with awe] and each of them He delivers.
Psalm 91:11
For He will give His angels [especial] charge over you to accompany and defend and preserve you in all your ways [of obedience and service].
Psalm 103:20
Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, you His angels, you mighty ones who do His commandments, hearkening to the voice of His word.
Mark 1:13
And He stayed in the wilderness (desert) forty days, being tempted [all the while] by Satan; and He was with the wild beasts, and the angels ministered to Him [continually].
Luke 22:42-43
Saying, Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me; yet not My will, but [always] Yours be done. And there appeared to Him an angel from heaven, strengthening Him in spirit.
Acts 5:19
But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and, leading them out, said, Go, take your stand in the temple courts and declare to the people the whole doctrine concerning this Life (the eternal life which Christ revealed).
Hebrews 1:7
Referring to the angels He says, [God] Who makes His angels winds and His ministering servants flames of fire.
Hebrews 1:14
Are not the angels all ministering spirits (servants) sent out in the service [of God for the assistance] of those who are to inherit salvation?
Anger
Anger that is not controlled is a negative emotion and causes all kinds of hindrances in our relationships with others and our lives. It should be avoided at all costs. Anger makes us take wrong actions and say things we are not supposed to say. Cain was angry because God had no respect for his offering (Genesis 4:5). Anger arises when our heart is not right with God and what we do for Him is not accepted. Anger also comes from a heart of unforgiveness. Ask God to take away any root of anger today so that you can live a life of love and peace. As soon as we have given our lives to Jesus, we have a new spirit abiding in us that is free from anger. But we need to feed that spirit by speaking God’s Word and believing that He has renewed our identity and that His Word is moulding our character to be conformed to His.
Psalm 37:8
Cease from anger and forsake wrath; fret not yourself—it tends only to evildoing.
Proverbs 14:29
He who is slow to anger has great understanding, but he who is hasty of spirit exposes and exalts his folly.
Proverbs 15:1
A soft answer turns away wrath, but grievous words stir up anger.
Proverbs 15:18
A hot-tempered man stirs up strife, but he who is slow to anger appeases contention.
Proverbs 16:32
He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, he who rules his [own] spirit than he who takes a city.
Proverbs 19:11
Good sense makes a man restrain his anger, and it is his glory to overlook a transgression or an offense.
Galatians 5:19-20
Now the doings (practices) of the flesh are clear (obvious): they are immorality, impurity, indecency, Idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, anger (ill temper), selfishness, divisions (dissensions), party spirit (factions, sects with peculiar opinions, heresies)
Ecclesiastes 7:9
Do not be quick in spirit to be angry or vexed, for anger and vexation lodge in the bosom of fools.
Ephesians 4:26
When angry, do not sin; do not ever let your wrath (your exasperation, your fury or indignation) last until the sun goes down.
Ephesians 4:31
Let all bitterness and indignation and wrath (passion, rage, bad temper) and resentment
