    Understanding Talent

    1.1 What is Talent?

    Talent is a special ability to do a task or a set of tasks. A natural endowment to complete a task or to innovate. A talented person could be a multi-talented person who specializes in working in more than one field of life. A multi-talented scientist can be defined as a person who displays exceptional intellectual ability, creativity and originality in more than one field of science¹. One of the seven most important polymaths (multi-talented scientists) is Isaac Newton, born to a widowed mother and born prematurely and raised by the grandmother.
