Strategies for Peace and Prosperity - Shui Yin Lo

    Preface

This book introduces a theory that can produce mathematical strategies for peace and prosperity. The theory, called Rules and Frameworks, is simple yet powerful, offering insights into key aspects of complex world events, including developments in modern China, Israel, Singapore, and nations in the Belt and Road Initiative.

The Rules and Frameworks theory resembles Newton’s equation, F=ma, which expresses force as the product of mass and acceleration. Although the equation appears simple, it explains complex phenomena, such as the falling of an apple or the Earth’s elliptical orbit around the sun. Similarly, while the Rules and Frameworks theory shows promise, it is still in its early stages. Much work remains to be done to fully explore its potential.

Regularities in the Modernization of China

    Chapter 1: Rules and Frameworks

Before twentieth century our world is a classical world described by a set of points, the motion of which are given by Newton’s equations. At the beginning of twentieth century, a new quantum world view was born to substitute the old classical view.  The world is a collection of charges, and their interactions, The charges consist of positive and negative charges. These charges are described by equations in quantum theory. There is no difference between natural science and social science because their entities are collections of charges in the most fundamental level.

The exact mathematical theory will be presented at the last chapter of this book.

In this chapters we present mainly qualitative features which are easy to read and remember:

Our  world can be described by six rules and seven quantum frameworks.

    The six rules are:

Rule 1: Survival of the fittest

It was first discovered by Charles Darwin in biology. In commercial world only the most profitable company survive

    Rule 2: Coherence

    Coherence is better than Incoherence.

The light from an ordinary lamp is not coherent. It cannot go more than a kilometer even if it is many kilowatts in power. The light from laser is coherent. It can go to the moon and back if it is only milliwatt in power.

    Rule 3: One single leader

In a group of people, it is necessary to have one single leader to make decision, and keep the group coherent.

In a commercial company, the one single leader is the Chief Executive Officer. In a nation the single leader is the President.

    Rule 4: Internal cause

In any object, person, group, nation, the change initiated from internal source is faster and better, Mao ZeDong stated On Contradiction, (1937) External causes are the condition of change and internal causes are the basis of change, and external causes become operative through internal causes.

Mao emphasizes  internal contradictions within things are the primary cause of change, while external factors only influence change by acting upon these internal contradictions.

    Rule 5: Economics

Economics is the foundation of a society , and other elements of society  such as politics, culture, race, religion etc.  belong to superstructure. Without economic foundation no superstructure can exist. Superstructure can influence the development of foundation.

Karl Marx wrote in A Contribution to the Critique of Political Economy, (1859):

The mode of production of material life conditions the general process of social, political, and intellectual life. It is not the consciousness of men that determines their existence, but their social existence that determines their consciousness.

    Rule 6: Wealth

Wealth is created only by application of science and technology. The science and technology need not be original. They could be copied from other places. The science covers both natural science and social science. Business model is  part of social science.

The definition of wealth is defined in  my book Analysis of Economics with Physics-ways to increase wealth rapidly, 2021 ,EHG Books

For any matter, any person, any nation or a collection of nations that can be described by quantum theory. There are six rules and seven pillars of quantum frameworks. The six rules are empirical rules deduced from some area of science, commercial activity, or observations.    The seven quantum Frameworks come from quantum physics:  see my book Standing on the shoulder of Richard Feynman to teach physics better, 2019, EHG Books.

    Seven Quantum Frameworks (QF)

    A Collection of Particles

For a collection of particles in natural science, they are:

    QF1: Uncertainty

The Heisenberg uncertainty principle originated from atomic physics yields on a larger scale to the uncertain future of world affairs.

    QF2: Quantum Duality

The quantum duality originates from atomic physics where it was found that wave and particles coexist simultaneously.

    QF3: Three Ways to Influence

There are three and only ways to influence the behavior of electrons in atomic physics.

3.1 Electrons moving a metallic tube with different physical boundary condition behaves differently

3.2 Electrons that are bound in an atom behave differently from electrons bound in a transistor.

3.3 Electrons can only exchange photons with any other charged particles in an electromagnetic interaction.

    QF4: Macroscopic Variables

In the steam of a steam engine, the macroscopic variables are the pressure, the temperature, the volume, and the flow of a steam。

    QF5: Fundamental Variables

There are 5 fundamental variables. They are five fundamental variables in quantum field theory: quantum number, time, space, energy, and momentum。

    QF6: Symmetry with Broken Symmetry

Invariance principle with its broken invariance

6.1 number invariance, number of electric charges is invariant, or charge is conserved in any interaction.

6.2 time invariance. Time Translational invariance

6.3 space symmetry, Left and right symmetry, and parity violation in particle physics means Left and right symmetry is broken.

6.4 Scale invariance. The form of Coulomb attraction between two charges  is 1/r where r is distance. This form 1/r  is scale invariant  whatever  the scale r is, one mm or one meter.

6.5 In particle physics the exchange of two fermion particle its wave function change sign. The exchange of two bosons its wave function does not change sign.

6.6 Other symmetries: such as point group symmetry of solids, or SU(3) color symmetry in strong interaction among quarks

    6.7 Quantum Framework 7 : Action S

From action S of nonrelativistic electron, it will produce Schrodinger Equation

From action S of relativistic electron, it will produce Dirac’s Equation

From action S of infinite number of neural molecules, it will produce Maxwellian distribution.

From action S for infinite number of fermions it will produce Fermion Distribution

From action S for infinite number of bosons it will produce Boson Distribution

The 6 Rules and 7 QF for An Individual

    Quantum Framework 1: uncertain

Individual is the smallest unit that participates in society.

If the individual is a student, he is uncertain that he will get an A in the final examination.

If the individual is a teacher, he is uncertain that his lecture is understood thoroughly.

If the individual is a soldier fighting in the war, he is uncertain that the next
