What platform provides detailed vulnerability reporting and analytics?

Vulnerability Scanning is one thing, but the real challenge I’m running into is reporting and analytics. Leadership also wants dashboards, compliance teams need audit-ready reports, and security needs actionable insights, not just a list of CVEs or updates. So, we're looking to switch and I’m curious to know which platforms actually deliver strong reporting and analytics on top of vulnerability data.

From the G2 grid data, here are the ones that stand out:

  • Wiz: Cloud-native with strong visualization and dashboards that give execs and security teams clear visibility.
  • Orca Security: Agentless scanning plus solid reporting, good for cloud-heavy orgs that need quick, high-level insights.
  • Tenable Nessus: Reliable scanning with customizable reports, though its analytics can feel more traditional compared to newer tools.
  • Tenable Vulnerability Management: Built for enterprises, with advanced dashboards, trending data, and compliance-focused reporting.
  • Sysdig Secure: Tailored for container/Kubernetes environments with runtime insights and security analytics.
  • HackerOne Platform: Not a scanner per se, but provides detailed reporting around bug bounty submissions and vulnerability trends from real-world testing.

Other names I keep hearing when it comes to reporting depth are Qualys, Rapid7 InsightVM, and CrowdStrike Falcon Spotlight.

For folks here, which tools have given you reports that actually satisfy both security teams and auditors? Do you rely on built-in dashboards, or always end up exporting everything into spreadsheets and BI tools anyway?

I’m also curious, when it comes to reporting, what ends up being more valuable in practice: compliance-focused reports that keep auditors happy, or deeper security analytics that help the team prioritize and act faster?
