What do you like best about Azure Backup?

Most of our customers have migrated their services from on-prem to Azure. They are using different services like virtual machines, Azure file share, Blob storage, database, etc. Different to other backup products or solutions, Azure Backup is the best and most seamless backup solutions for broader Azure ecosystem. It is integrated to all the Azure services. When deploying it, you can find the backup options in the page of every Azure resources.

It can also backup anything outside of Azure. With Azure Backup, you can management backup in a single portal for all services that your customers are using within Azure and on-prem.

The Azure backup working seamlessly with Azure Site Recovery to minimize the impact on disaster happened. We can minimize the downtime from full disaster recovery alongside backup.

The application-consistent backup is the best feature. It ensure that backup are application-consistent, not just file-consistent. When you restore system, it's restored to a usable status without any corrupted databases or incomplete transactions in applications. It's useful for SQL Server or any production applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Azure Backup?

There is nothing that I dislike. If there is one, the pricing could be much simpler. The pricing is based on storage tiers, retention policies and outbound data transfer cost. You need to understand how it charges if you just start using it. But after 1-2 months, you will understand how it works. Optimizing to get the balance of the cost and backup could be easily done too. So you don't need to worry too much. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I consider myself a pretty forgetful person and this application has definitely saved my life several times, from saving files, macros, analysis, to saving files that I have been looking for for a long time.

On a day to day basis it is very easy to implement, the interface is easy to use and it has several security tools that are quite useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Azure Backup?

The only drawback I had with the platform was the time to create backups, since the logistics area uses quite large databases, the loading time of these was a bit long. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Unlocking Data Protection Excellence: A Comprehensive Review of Azure Backup"
What do you like best about Azure Backup?

Seamless Integration: Azure Backup seamlessly integrates with other Microsoft Azure services, making it easy for organizations already using Azure to implement a robust backup solution.

Flexibility: It offers flexibility in terms of what you can back up, whether it's virtual machines, on-premises servers, SQL databases, or even files and folders. This adaptability was a significant advantage.

Reliability: Azure's data centers are known for their reliability and redundancy. Azure Backup leverages this infrastructure to ensure that your data is safe and available when you need it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Azure Backup?

Limited Support for Non-Microsoft Systems: While Azure Backup is excellent for Microsoft-based environments, it may not be as well-suited for organizations heavily reliant on non-Microsoft systems and applications.

Backup and Restore Speed: Depending on the size of data and network bandwidth, some users reported that backup and restore processes could be slower than desired, particularly when dealing with large datasets.

Retrieval Costs: While storing data in Azure is often cost-effective, retrieving large amounts of data from backup storage could incur additional costs, which some users found surprising. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Azure Backup Review"
What do you like best about Azure Backup?

1. Usefulness: Many customers laud Azure Backup's user-friendly interface and logical layout. Users may easily set up and begin securing their data thanks to the simple installation and configuration process.

2. Comprehensive Data Protection: Many different data protection solutions are available with Azure Backup. Users may back up their databases, virtual machines, files, and directories. Businesses can secure their crucial data from multiple sources thanks to this extensive coverage.

3. Strong Security: Azure Backup excels in terms of security, which is a key concern for enterprises. It uses cutting-edge encryption methods to protect data both in transit and at rest. Additionally, Azure Backup offers access restrictions and authentication procedures, enabling customers to create complex security rules.

4. Flexibility and Scalability: Azure Backup is made to evolve simply as company requirements change. By offering practically infinite scalability, it all but removes worries about storage capacity restrictions. Users' rising backup needs may be accommodated without causing any disturbances.

5. Cost-Efficiency: When compared to conventional backup techniques, Azure Backup provides a cost-effective alternative. Users don't require specialized backup infrastructure; they merely pay for the storage they use. Businesses save money because of this cloud-based concept. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Azure Backup?

1. Internet bandwidth requirements: Because Azure Backup transfers data over the internet, businesses with spotty or unpredictable internet access may see sluggish backup and recovery times. To guarantee effective data transfer, it's critical to evaluate the available bandwidth and make plans appropriately.

2. Azure Backup is a cloud-based service, hence it is dependent on the availability and dependability of the Azure platform. Users may see temporary restrictions or delays while accessing their backups in rare instances of Azure service interruptions or outages. To reduce such events, Microsoft has a solid infrastructure and redundancy mechanisms in place.

3. Cost considerations: Although Azure Backup is more affordable than conventional backup techniques, it's still crucial to watch and control storage costs. To reduce expenses as data volume expands, it's recommended to routinely examine backup procedures, retention schedules, and data archiving techniques.

4. Complicated Recovery Scenarios: Despite the fact that Azure Backup offers a dependable and effective data recovery method, complicated recovery scenarios involving many systems or complex dependencies could need extra preparation and configuration. To guarantee smooth and precise data restoration in such instances, it is advised to extensively test and record recovery techniques. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
