AtomicIntegerArray lazySet() method in Java with Examples Last Updated : 27 Feb, 2019 Summarize Comments Improve Suggest changes Share Like Article Like Report The Java.util.concurrent.atomic.AtomicIntegerArray.lazySet() is an inbuilt method in Java that eventually sets a given value at any given index of an AtomicIntegerArray. The method takes the index value of the AtomicIntegerArray and the value to set as the parameters and updates the previous value without returning anything. Syntax: public final void lazySet(int i, int newValue) Parameters: The function takes two parameters: i which is the index value where the update is to made. newValue which is the new value to update at the index. Return Value: The function does not return any value. Below programs illustrate the above method: Program 1: Java // Java program that demonstrates // the lazySet() function import java.util.concurrent.atomic.AtomicIntegerArray; public class GFG { public static void main(String args[]) { // Initializing an array int a[] = { 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 }; // Initializing an AtomicIntegerArray // with array a AtomicIntegerArray arr = new AtomicIntegerArray(a); // Displaying the AtomicIntegerArray System.out.println("The array : " + arr); // Index where operation is performed int idx = 0; // The new value to update at idx int val = 10; // Updating the value at // idx applying lazySet arr.lazySet(idx, val); // Displaying the AtomicIntegerArray System.out.println("The array after" + " update : " + arr); } } Output: The array : [1, 2, 3, 4, 5] The array after update : [10, 2, 3, 4, 5] Program 2: Java // Java program that demonstrates // the lazySet() function import java.util.concurrent.atomic.AtomicIntegerArray; public class GFG { public static void main(String args[]) { // Initializing an array int a[] = { 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 }; // Initializing an AtomicIntegerArray // with array a AtomicIntegerArray arr = new AtomicIntegerArray(a); // Displaying the AtomicIntegerArray System.out.println("The array : " + arr); // Index where operation is performed int idx = 3; // The new value to update at idx int val = 100; // Updating the value at // idx applying lazySet arr.lazySet(idx, val); // Displaying the AtomicIntegerArray System.out.println("The array after " + "update : " + arr); } } Output: The array : [1, 2, 3, 4, 5] The array after update : [1, 2, 3, 100, 5] Reference: https://docs.oracle.com/javase/8/docs/api/java/util/concurrent/atomic/AtomicIntegerArray.html#lazySet-int-int- Comment More infoAdvertise with us Next Article AtomicInteger lazySet() method in Java with examples G gopaldave Follow Improve Article Tags : Java Java-Functions Java-concurrent-package Java-AtomicIntegerArray Practice Tags : Java Similar Reads AtomicInteger lazySet() method in Java with examples The java.util.concurrent.atomic.AtomicInteger.lazySet() is an inbuilt method in java that updates the previous value and sets it to a new value which is passed in the parameter.
