Aaron Mahnke

One of the most successful podcast producers in the world, Aaron began his career in 2015 with the launch of Lore, which went on to become a breakout hit. Aside from racking up nearly a billion downloads to date, Lore was adapted for two seasons of television on Amazon Prime, and as a three-book set from Penguin Random House / Del Rey. Aaron has also toured extensively, taking the Lore storytelling experience to tens of thousands of people across the country.

These days, as founder and president of Grim & Mild Entertainment, Aaron stays busy writing, voicing, and producing a number of wildly popular shows, including the 2021 breakout hit Bridgewater. In 2019, Aaron also published his first comic book series, Wellington, through IDW.

Aaron lives with his family in the historic North Shore area of Boston.

GennaRose Nethercott

GennaRose Nethercott is a writer and folklorist from the woodlands of Vermont. Raised as a touring child clown, she never gave up life on the road; when she isn’t researching for Lore or authoring spooky books, she’s traveling with a mobile puppetry theater in tow or writing poems-to-order for strangers on an antique typewriter.

Sam Alberty

Sam hails from the beautifully-frozen forests of Minnesota. When he’s not collecting Master’s degrees or researching the macabre and fantastical for Lore, he keeps himself busy with historical theology, making bread, and finding new places where he can be quiet.

Cassandra de Alba

Cassandra de Alba is a writer and historian from New Hampshire. When she’s not knee-deep in spooky research, you can find her teaching poetry, wandering cemeteries, or climbing mountains.

Alex Robinson

Alex Robinson is a historian from the mountains of Tennessee who now lives in Washington, DC. Raised on a healthy diet of Appalachian folklore and history, she is thrilled to be sharing new stories with Grim and Mild. When she's not researching, she can be found baking, hiking, or wandering through the weirdest museums she can find.

Jamie Vargas

Jamie Vargas is a historian with a background in medieval and public history. When she’s not fact-checking or researching, you can find her writing poetry, learning foreign languages, and sculpting 3-D flowers out of thick paint.
