Britney Spears' ex claims she did cocaine while breastfeeding sons, singer hits back
Kevin Federline's upcoming memoir alleges shocking incidents during his marriage to Britney Spears, including claims of drug use while breastfeeding. Spears has strongly denied these accusations and shared her journey towards healing and personal growth.

Kevin Federline, former husband of pop superstar Britney Spears, has made explosive claims in his upcoming memoir You Thought You Knew, set for release on October 21. According to excerpts obtained by US Weekly, Federline alleges that Spears used cocaine while breastfeeding their young sons, Sean and Jayden, during his 2006 album release party for Playing With Fire. He says the incident was the “final straw” that led to the breakdown of their marriage.
In the book, Federline recalls being surprised to see Spears and her father, Jamie Spears, at the event. He writes that upon opening his dressing room door, he saw Spears and a friend using cocaine – Spears reportedly wearing a blue wig and making no effort to hide her actions. The friend, he adds, was an actor “about to blow up from a role that would transform her life.”
At the time, Sean was one year old and Jayden just a month old. Federline claims he confronted Spears, asking her not to nurse the babies, and says she responded by throwing a drink at him. “That was the proverbial final straw, the breastfeeding thing. Her reaction. That’s what ended us,” he writes. The memoir details how legal notices and divorce proceedings followed shortly after.
Spears hit back publicly on social media, denying the allegations and expressing that she feels unfairly targeted. “To be loved unconditionally and with a naive heart like mine, always being threatened or made to believe I’m the bad one as they profit off my pain I 100 percent beg to differ the way he is literally attacking me in his interviews,” she wrote.
She also shared her personal journey of healing and self-care, revealing that she bought a miniature glass greenhouse to grow plants like lavender, rosemary, and eucalyptus. “I do need healing and I’m starting tomorrow on it I’m honestly liberated and so damn blessed it arrived!” Spears added, reflecting on her focus on personal growth, surrounding herself with supportive people, and reconnecting with life beyond controversy.
