One thing to consider with a sample, is did the florist advise you on it? Did the florist tell you how to store the flowers? This is imperative if you are going to be picking up the flowers instead of having them delivered. Make sure you put the arrangement in a similar environment as your event. Is it going to be in a big room with lots of windows at 11a in July? Make sure that the florist has told you about what might happen to your flowers during that time and if they have anything they do to help in those situations. Did the florist suggest something else? See about having both and comparing them. Does one last longer or do flowers from one last longer? Let the florist use their knowledge to help! Be open to ideas.
