    More detail is not always better. It can create distraction — especially if shared with people who are not responsible for delivering the work. Senior leaders want the big picture. Business impact and timing, not every feature or dependency. Show them a simplified version of the roadmap. Focus on strategic themes and timing — a Now, Next, Later view is usually enough to convey your priorities. Keep the full roadmap available for anyone who needs it. That way, you can respond to specific questions and the team doing the work can see exactly what is planned and why. Ideally this is what you want. Everyone can see the information that matters to them. And it is simple to do if you use roadmap software.
