    The ’47 CLEAN UP isn’t just a hat – it’s the first of its kind. Long before “dad hats” were everywhere, this was the original – The Father of All Dad Hats.    In the ‘90s, ’47 responded to a growing trend of young consumers who were purchasing caps, taking them home and doing their own DIY work to “deconstruct” them – cutting out the inside, wearing them in the shower, and even running them through the dishwasher and dryer to achieve a washed, soft look. ’47 set out to develop a model that did the work for the people and created what eventually became known as the ’47 CLEAN UP.    More than three decades and over 150 million sold worldwide later, the ’47 CLEAN UP sits at the forefront of the “dad hat” trend that has been growing for years and shows no signs of slowing down.    The ’47 CLEAN UP is synonymous with our brand and it exemplifies the best of us – heritage, craftmanship, creativity, dedication, and love. With this new global campaign, for those who know and love their ’47 CLEAN UPs, this will feel like familiar territory.     ‘47 and Carhartt share many key foundational beliefs and characteristics that make our newest collaboration a perfect match. Above all, we are two American brands with unique, deep heritage; and when it comes to product, both brands value craftsmanship and attention to detail. Every stitch matters. When we were considering who could represent this new collection as the face of ’47, Philadelphia Phillies star Bryce Harper was at the very top of our list. At ’47, we are interested in creating partnerships, not sponsorships – just as with Carhartt, any person or brand we choose to align ourselves with, we are doing so because they share the same values that we do. With Bryce, aside from being a sure-fire Hall of Famer on the field and an avid hat collector off of it, he, like us, is obsessed with perfecting every aspect of his craft.     After four incredibly productive years leading ’47, our President Dominic Farrell is moving on to another opportunity. We want to thank Dom for his vision and guidance, as we’ve seen our brand expand its commercial success, grow overseas markets, and continue to be a leader in the sports lifestyle space while still maintaining the values and intimacy of a family-owned company. His accomplishments have been extraordinary.   We hope Dom’s journey ahead is as successful and rewarding as his time here. Wherever you go, you’ll always have our respect and admiration.     Earlier this month, we celebrated our latest NFL collab with Stoney Clover Lane by hosting our signature “Touchdown Tavern” event at Fouquet’s New York in Tribeca.
