Do I know anyone attending Trellis Impact 2025 (Verge, Bloom and GreenFin)? If so, please reach out, as I will be there representing 3R Sustainability along with my colleagues Gina MacIlwraith, MBA, SEP and Jana D. Lake and would love to connect while there and discuss all things climate and sustainability. Specifically, I am interested in chatting about scope 3 emissions reduction, climate and/or biodiversity risk and reporting and nature-based solutions. Thanks!

⭐ Client Success Story ⭐ Building upon years of partnership, 3R was well-positioned to assist our client with their sustainability report, which included: - Reporting in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) - Disclosing the Sustainable Accounting Standards Board (SASB) industry metrics - And incorporating the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) S2 Climate-related Financial Disclosures. Impact ⚙️ The client’s Sustainability Report was shared internally across their approximately 170 locations in the U.S. and externally through publication on their website. Internally, the report served as an employee engagement tool. Externally, the report is being utilized to demonstrate their sustainability commitments and performance and will serve as a key piece of evidence for their upcoming EcoVadis submission. Prepare for 2026 💡 Are you wondering what standards your business should report to? 3R is here to guide you through the evolving regulatory landscape and support you with getting the most out of your reporting efforts. Read our new blog post 💡 As sustainability becomes a priority, businesses face growing demands from consumers, regulators, and stakeholders to quantify and reduce environmental impacts for the products they produce and sell, moving beyond general estimates towards specific footprints of products. Terms like Product Carbon Footprint (PCF), Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), and Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) are often confused, but each serves a unique purpose. Our recent post by Christina Fontanesi and Fraiser Opel, MBA, is a guide to these terms that explains what each is, their differences, and when/why they’re essential, drawing from industry standards to help businesses across sectors make informed decisions. As a former collegiate athlete who represented Hong Kong at a young age, I’ve experienced firsthand how climate events like typhoons and extreme heat impact the games we love—but also how sports bring people together in both good and challenging times. That experience shaped my passion for making sports a force for good. At 3R Sustainability, we help sports organizations unlock the business value of sustainability. It’s about more than reducing impact—it’s about creating a future where sports can thrive for generations. Carrying that belief forward, for the past three semesters, we’ve partnered with Professor Sara Soderstrom at the University of Michigan to design a course that gives students hands-on experience in sports sustainability. Together, we’ve supported organizations like the Green Sports Alliance and the Detroit Lions, while preparing the next generation of leaders to carry this work forward. What’s your Green Sports story? #GreenSportsDay
This year on #GreenSportsDay, we are celebrating the power of sports to unite, uplift, and strengthen communities in the face of environmental and social challenges. At 3R Sustainability, we deliver full-service sustainability solutions to our sports and event clients, helping sports venues and teams integrate organizational efficiencies into their existing operations to maximize business value and minimize resource use. We recognize the importance of community inclusion and healthy environments for all eventgoers, which is why these groups are considered key stakeholders in the work that we do. We're also a proud Green Sports Alliance Play to Zero partner ⭐ How are you celebrating #GreenSportsDay? Tell us in the comments!

Starting my sports and sustainability career at the largest superfund site in the U.S. in the ‘90’s (studying Environmental engineering and playing WBB for Montana Technological University in Butte, MT), through now being an AVID!! WNBA (Women's National Basketball Association) and Unrivaled Basketball fan (really a fan of all sports) and getting to work directly in the sustainable sports industry in 2020’s—I’ve been privileged to see how the power of sports can drive change both directly and indirectly. I was back at MT Tech this weekend for homecoming and am re-inspired by this quote from the current Environmental Engineering students (and the Lorax): “Protecting the environment is a tough job for one – but if nobody starts, it never gets done!” #GreenSportsDay 3R Sustainability Pictured: Jenny Wampler at a WBB alumni event & 2025 EEMT homecoming window sign competition entry
