  • Today marks a major milestone in our drive to strengthen America’s energy independence. We have officially published the Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) for our Tonopah Flats Lithium Project, confirming its immense potential and robust economic outlook. Our CEO, Ryan Melsert, puts it best: "The project metrics demonstrated in this PFS are further validation that the first-principles physics based, internally-developed design for this claystone to battery grade critical mineral lithium hydroxide processing train is highly competitive in both the U.S. and the global markets. It confirms the immense potential of the Tonopah Flats Lithium Project in this momentous moment when the U.S. is facing restrictions on the sourcing of critical minerals and extreme pressure to ramp the manufacturing of these critical minerals from domestic resources.” Key highlights from the study include: 👉A strong after-tax net present value (NPV) of $2.57 billion 👉A 53% increase in Measured and Indicated lithium resources 👉Establishment of 2.73 million tonnes of proven and probable lithium reserves We celebrate this achievement as a testament to our team's resilience and unwavering commitment. Driven by determination and purpose, we are forging ahead to create a sustainable, domestic supply chain for critical battery metals—strengthening our nation’s future one milestone at a time. • We are proud to share that after more than two years of dedicated work, we have completed all required baseline studies and submitted the reports to the U.S. Bureau of Land Management as part of the NEPA review process for our Tonopah Flats Lithium Project, one of the largest critical mineral lithium projects in the United States. This milestone marks a critical step forward in the development of this project. “I am extremely proud of the ABTC team and all of our consultants that helped to drive these 21 studies to completion over the past several years,” stated ABTC CEO Ryan Melsert. “These efforts required meticulous planning and execution to ensure that we captured the full scope of environmental, cultural, and technical considerations for this critical project. The completion of these analyses and studies is a testament to our commitment to responsible and diligent development of this critical mineral resource to enable Increased American Mineral Production in response to President Trump’s recent call to action.” Located in Nevada, our Tonopah Flats Lithium Project spans over 10,340 acres and contains 21.15 million tons of accessible lithium hydroxide monohydrate. With our proprietary extraction technologies, this project is positioned to strengthen domestic lithium production, reduce reliance on imports, and enhance supply chain stability. As we move into the next phases of development, including the release of a Pre-Feasibility Study, we remain committed to fostering strong relationships with local communities, tribal organizations, and stakeholders to ensure responsible advancement of this critical resource. • Lithium, nickel, cobalt, copper—critical elements like these don’t degrade and can be reused indefinitely. However, the U.S. faces a significant challenge with limited domestic capacity to mine, refine, and recycle essential resources such as lithium. At ABTC, we are addressing this head-on. By recycling spent lithium-ion batteries and working to develop our Tonopah Flats Lithium Resource with lithium hydroxide refining operations, we are strengthening the domestic supply chain, ensuring responsible resource management, and advancing U.S. energy security. Produced by Adil Ali, MD and Onyx published in Fortune, ABTC CEO Ryan Melsert shares how the company is building a more resilient and self-reliant future for battery materials. Battery metals aren’t consumed - they’re abandoned. Lithium, nickel, cobalt, copper - elements that never degrade. In theory, they can be reused forever. In practice, the U.S. has 40+ gigafactories but limited domestic mining and refining capacity to close the loop. American Battery Technology Company is changing that - recycling end-of-life packs into battery-grade metals and colocating refining with Nevada-based resources. The goal: a resilient domestic loop for the clean energy transition. In an interview for Going Green, a report produced by Onyx and published in Fortune magazine, CEO Ryan Melsert reveals how ABTC is rewriting the battery supply chain: https://lnkd.in/er896dfg
