MondayThoughts | Empowering Young Mothers As we mark both World Mental Health Day and the International Day of the Girl Child this week, we’re reminded of the power of knowledge and access. The Addis Clinic we believe that when young mothers are equipped with accurate information and supportive systems, they are better able to make informed decisions about their bodies, health, and futures. Empowerment starts with access to care, to education, and to safe spaces where every woman and girl can be heard and supported. Let’s continue creating communities that nurture mental well-being and amplify girls’ voice. New week! #DayOfTheGirl #WorldMentalHealthDay #SRHR #EmpowerHer #AddisClinic #YoungMothers #AccessToCare

We are so proud to be part of these initiatives in informing the youth on SRHR!
A one-stop grassroot centre where women & girls can access information & services on Sexual Health, Gender-Based Violence, Economic Justice and Peace
We trained 10 peer counsellors at Ndzovuni Secondary to deepen their understanding of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR)—moving beyond the misconception that SRHR is “just about sex.” Through interactive sessions, participants explored bodily autonomy, informed consent, access to health services, and protection from GBV. They unpacked real-life challenges like menstrual health gaps, pressure to have sex, and stigma around seeking care. By the end, each peer counsellor left with the confidence to listen without judgment, speak from a rights-based perspective, and link peers to safe, reliable services. Because informed youth are the first line of defence in protecting dignity. #HijabiMentorship #SRHR #PeerCounselling #YouthEmpowerment #BodilyAutonomy #InformedChoices USAID Regional Leadership Center East Africa Kenyatta University The Addis Clinic

Soccer day with The Hijabi Mentorship Program (THMP) ❤️⚽️
#NikumbukeSoccer #ChezaKuwaHuru #SautiYaMwanamke #HijabiMentorship Caroline Wanjau The Addis Clinic
