🚨 We’re Hiring: Materials Manager – Milan, MI 🚨 Advanced Vehicle Assemblies (AVA) is looking for a Materials Manager to join our Milan team and lead the planning, procurement, storage, and distribution of materials and products to meet company objectives and customer requirements. This role works closely with material personnel at our plants as well as purchasing and sales teams, ensuring smooth and cost-effective operations across the supply chain. What You’ll Do: -Develop and maintain procurement strategies that balance cost, quality, and supply continuity -Monitor inventory to prevent shortages or excess stock -Build and manage supplier relationships, contracts, and disputes -Oversee logistics of incoming/outgoing materials to align with production schedules -Drive cost management initiatives and market analysis for efficiency -Lead and develop a collaborative materials management team -Ensure compliance with industry standards and environmental regulations What We’re Looking For: -Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or related field -5+ years of experience in materials management or supply chain operations -Automotive manufacturing background preferred -Proficiency in ERP systems and OEM supplier portals (e.g., Ford Covisint, Stellantis E-Supplier Connect) -Strong analytical, organizational, negotiation, and leadership skills -IATF 16949 Internal Auditor Certification (or willingness to obtain) At AVA, we are committed to building an inclusive and diverse workforce. 👉 Interested?
