Saturday SCOOP: Ad verification firm Integral Ad Science is part of the Federal Trade Commission's probe into media credibility organizations over alleged advertiser boycotts of conservative media outlets, according to amendments in a lawsuit levied against the FTC by another party under investigation, The Global Disinformation Index. Launched last summer, the FTC's investigation is looking into possible collusion and anticompetitive conduct in how such groups influence where brands advertise. GDI is not the only subject of FTC investigation that has responded with legal action; yesterday, NewsGuard filed a fresh lawsuit against the agency, alleging the probe is politically motivated and violates constitutionally-protected free speech rights.
