Fighting childhood cancer, one cup at a time.
About us
Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) emerged from the front yard lemonade stand of 4-year-old Alexandra “Alex” Scott, who was fighting cancer and wanted to raise money to find cures for all children with cancer. Her spirit and determination inspired others to support her cause, and when she passed away at the age of 8, she had raised $1 million. Since then, the Foundation bearing her name has evolved into a national fundraising movement. Today, ALSF is one of the leading funders of pediatric cancer research in the U.S. and Canada raising more than $250 million so far, funding over 1,000 research projects and providing programs to families affected by childhood cancer. "From battling medulloblastoma to hosting his 4th annual lemonade stand, Peter's journey is a testament to strength and resilience. 🍋💛 #BrainTumorAwareness "I could say it was hard, but usually I just try to crack jokes," said Peter. He faced countless hurdles, but kept his positive outlook through it all. Though he still deals with side-effects from brain radiation, his recent cataract surgeries have restored his vision to near-normal levels! Now cancer-free for three years, Peter's smile shines brighter than ever! ☀️ #BrainTumorAwarenessMonth #Alexslemonadestand #ChildhoodCancer #NeverGiveUp #ChildhoodCancerAwareness #BrainTumor

Students in Downingtown Area School District turned up the music — and the impact — at this year’s Cam-a-Thon, raising over $45,000 to help find safer, more effective treatments for childhood leukemia. This 12-hour dance-a-thon honors the life and legacy of Cameron Evans, a Downingtown Area School District student who bravely battled leukemia and passed away in 2012 at just 14 years old. Cam-a-Thon is more than just dancing — it’s a powerful night of unity, games, sports tournaments, and purpose. Since its beginning, the event has raised nearly $300,000 in support of childhood cancer research. Proceeds from the event supported Cure4Cam Childhood Cancer Foundation, a Hero Fund of Alex’s Lemonade Stand created by Cameron’s mom, Regina, who remains passionate about raising funds to support the development of new and more humane cancer therapies for children. Thank you Downingtown Area School District students!

This week's featured childhood cancer hero is Allison Petrenas! A true dancer at heart, Allison had a misstep when she was diagnosed with cancer in 2020. She was unable to move her left leg and ankle like she used to in dance class, then was unable to walk normally. But she was determined not to give up. Allison had an eight-hour long brain surgery but couldn't remove all of the meningioma, so doctors followed that with proton radiation for six weeks. Since then, Allison has worked hard to strengthen the left side of her body, and has been able to perform on stage again! Cheer Allison on in the comments!
