On March 27, we had the privilege of attending the Western Endoscopic Approaches to Spine course in Englewood, Colorado. This comprehensive and expertly designed program provided participating surgeons with advanced knowledge of medial branch nerve transection (MBT) and discectomy techniques through both interlaminar and transforaminal approaches. We remain dedicated to advancing surgical education by equipping surgeons with the tools and skills needed to improve patient outcomes. The Women in Sports Medicine Surgery course (WINS) on March 27-28 at the state-of-the-art ArthroLab™ in Naples, FL was a great experience! On March 21st, top orthopedic experts met in Englewood, CO, for the Western Proximal Humeral Pathology Course to enhance patient care. We’re thrilled to highlight Dan Evans, a key member of our team at Arthrex-Colorado Springs! Learn about Dan- Can you tell us a little about your background and how you got started in sales? After working as a Certified Athletic Trainer for almost 25 years in the collegiate and high school level, I was looking for a new challenge that would allow me to utilize and expand my orthopedic knowledge. What’s one accomplishment at Arthrex Colorado Springs that you're particularly proud of? I am proud of the relationships I have developed with the surgeons and staffs at our accounts. Also, being part of a team that won Territory of the year in 2024. Although I don’t feel deserving of the awards, I am proud of the Rookie of the Year award in 2022 as well as the Victory award in 2023 that I received from Gemini Mountain Medical. How would you describe the team culture at Arthrex Colorado Springs? There is a strong team culture at Alliance Medical. There is an emphasis to develop and support team members. Everyone is always willing to help each other when needed. What's one interesting fact about you that your colleagues might not know? I have seen over 200 bands live and have an extensive music and music memorabilia collection. My collection ranges from signed drumheads, setlists, posters and various other items. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received about sales or life in general? Focus on building genuine relationships, understand the situation and the customer’s goal. Show the customer how you and your product can make their life or outcomes better. It’s not always about pushing features, it’s about solving problems and creating value. As in any field, continue to grow and learn. Always strive to be better than the day before. In life, remember you can’t predict the future and things don’t always go as planned.
