We’re proud to share that Dr. Laura Colicchia from Minnesota Perinatal Physicians will be speaking at the upcoming MNPQC Perinatal Improvement Summit on October 28 in Minneapolis. She’ll be presenting alongside Dr. Lisa Kirkland on multidisciplinary care for critically ill obstetric patients, highlighting the incredible work happening at Abbott Northwestern Hospital.
🌟MNPQC Perinatal Improvement Summit Speaker: Laura Colicchia, MD, and Lisa Kirkland, MD Laura Colicchia, MD, is board-certified in obstetrics and Maternal-Fetal Medicine and has been in practice at Minnesota Perinatal Physicians for 9 years. She co-chairs the Obstetric Critical Care Committee at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. Her research and clinical interests include maternal decision-making, diabetes in pregnancy, placenta accreta spectrum, and maternal cardiac disease in pregnancy. Lisa Kirkland, MD, is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Critical Care, Geriatrics, and Neuro-Critical Care. She is a member of the intensivist team and provides care for patients who have been admitted to the ICU at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. She co-chairs the Obstetric Critical Care Committee at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. 🎤 Presentation: Multidisciplinary Care for the Critically Ill Obstetric Patient The presenters will discuss how the multidisciplinary obstetric critical care program at Abbott Northwestern Hospital was created and how each part of the team performs their important roles in patient care. They will use cases from their institution to describe possible issues that can arise in the care of critically ill obstetric patients and how their team manages these conditions.
