Joseph brings more than 28 years of distinguished public sector experience, having served as CFO, Treasurer, and Assistant Treasurer for the County of Bergen, the largest county in New Jersey. His extensive background is further strengthened by successful roles as a government banker at multiple financial institutions, providing clients with unparalleled subject matter expertise and practical real world insights. In addition to his professional career, Joseph served 12 years as an elected member of the Englewood Cliffs School Board of Trustees, including four years as Board President, broadening his leadership and governance experience. Joseph holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting from Pace University and a Master’s Certificate in Public Administration and American Government from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Since 2017, he has also been a respected instructor for municipal CFO students at Rutgers University’s Center for Government Services, underscoring his deep commitment to advancing excellence and best practices in government finance. Joseph’s exceptional combination of technical expertise, leadership, and hands on municipal and school governance experience uniquely positions him to deliver extraordinary value to Alma Bank’s clients and stakeholders. With over 25 years of experience spanning money center, regional, and community banks, Margarita brings extensive expertise in retail leadership, business banking, commercial lending, government banking, and fintech servicing. Since joining Alma Bank in 2013, she has played a pivotal role in building a competitive New Jersey franchise, developing leadership talent, launching the bank’s first government banking account, expanding the business and commercial client portfolio, assisting with the client servicing hotline, optimizing retail staffing models, and enhancing our online account opening customer service. In her new role, Margarita will continue to oversee and expand the bank’s New Jersey footprint across retail, business, and commercial banking. She will also provide strategic leadership to the government banking vertical and enhance customer service within our online account opening platform.
