About us

Amazon is guided by four principles: customer obsession rather than competitor focus, passion for invention, commitment to operational excellence, and long-term thinking. We are driven by the excitement of building technologies, inventing products, and providing services that change lives. We embrace new ways of doing things, make decisions quickly, and are not afraid to fail. We have the scope and capabilities of a large company, and the spirit and heart of a small one. Together, Amazonians research and develop new technologies from Amazon Web Services to Alexa on behalf of our customers: shoppers, sellers, content creators, and developers around the world. Our mission is to be Earth's most customer-centric company. Our actions, goals, projects, programs, and inventions begin and end with the customer top of mind. You'll also hear us say that at Amazon, it's always "Day 1." What do we mean? That our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon's very first day - to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and focus on delighting our customers.

Alexa returns to the Big Game with a star-studded ad for Alexa+, our next generation AI assistant. Powered by generative AI, Alexa+ is smarter, easier to talk to, personalized, and can help customers get things done. In the 60-second spot that will air during the Big Game, Chris Hemsworth comes home to find his wife, Elsa Pataky, chatting with the new Alexa+, and he's immediately convinced Alexa+ is plotting against him. From a garage door guillotine to an exploding fireplace to a wrestling bear, Chris imagines increasingly outrageous and comedic scenarios. Elsa? Completely unconvinced. By the end, Chris realizes Alexa+ isn't out to get him—she's actually helpful in everyday life. Alexa+ is now available to everyone in the U.S. and free for Prime members. Customers without a Prime membership can try Alexa+ through a new free chat experience at Alexa.com and in the Alexa app. #BigGame2026

Big update: Alexa+ is now available to everyone in the U.S.—and it’s free for Prime members. We’re also launching a free tier of Alexa+, so customers who aren’t yet Prime members can try out the chat experience at Alexa.com and in the Alexa app.  Pumped about this milestone. When we set out to build Alexa+, the goal was simple: to make AI genuinely useful. Not AI for technology's sake, but an assistant that removes friction and feels natural. Early Access customers gave us feedback to help shape the product, and now we're taking the next step by bringing Alexa+ to even more customers.   It's still early days, but it’s clear Alexa+ is making customer's’ lives easier already. Thank you to everyone who worked to get us this far. Excited for what’s ahead.  Check out details here: https://lnkd.in/g9Y2zrRj

I’m proud to share Ring’s Super Bowl ad introducing Search Party for Dogs. When we started on this idea, we kept coming back to the fear that sets in when a family dog goes missing—and how much that fear eases when neighbors show up to help. We were intentional about keeping the creative focused and grounded, built around a simple idea people could relate to and recognize from their own communities. What matters most about this work: Ring is more than the physical products people buy. It’s about enabling neighbors to show up for one another in moments that matter—like helping reunite a lost dog with its family. We’re not just a doorbell or camera company. We build technology that helps neighbors show up for one another when it counts. Our mission has always been about helping people feel safer at home—and that includes knowing your pets are safe. Since launch, more than one dog per day has been reunited with their family. If this ad helps even one more dog make it home, we’ve done our job. Here’s to neighbors helping neighbors, and showing up when it matters most. (And yes, Jamie's dog, Biscuit, makes a brief cameo 🐶)

The most satisfying delivery you'll hear today. 📦 This is what precision sounds like at our LEJ5 fulfillment center in Germany—the rhythmic hum of conveyors, the crisp scan of each barcode, the smooth glide of packages moving through our fulfillment center. Every sound, every step, perfectly orchestrated with one mission: getting your order to you, safely and quickly. Turn up the volume and experience the journey. 🎧

Customers count on us during winter storms, especially for groceries and essential items. At Amazon, we're carefully monitoring the coming winter storm across the U.S. to balance getting orders delivered with our top priority, which is the safety of our teammates and delivery partners. Our team of meteorologists are tracking the storm in fine detail so that we can make the necessary adjustments to our operations, and we’re already in regular contact with our teammates and delivery partners to ensure everyone is aware and ready. And, of course, if the storm moves into disaster territory and our communities are impacted, our Disaster Relief team is on standby, but let’s hope it doesn’t come to that. Stay safe, everyone.

Welcome to the view from Amazon’s Tokyo office. ⛰️ Our teams across the globe bring unique perspectives shaped by the communities they serve—and sometimes, those perspectives come with breathtaking scenery. This is just one of the many places where Amazonians are inventing on behalf of customers. What's your favorite thing about where you work?
