While many drivers find their work deeply rewarding, nearly 75% report that the job is both physically and emotionally stressful, according to DAT Freight & Analytics. Even more concerning: 22% of U.S. truck drivers report being diagnosed with depression, and nearly one-fourth experience loneliness. As we recognize World Mental Health Day, it’s important for everyone in the trucking industry- drivers, fleet operators, and business partners alike, to understand the toll this work can take and to promote conversations that support mental wellness on the road.
