We were honored to welcome Apache, the brother of 2023 Hero Dog Winner Maverick, and his mom Kelly at our D.C. office this morning while they were in town attending the Association of the United States Army - AUSA National Conference. 💙💚 Apache, a proud member of Bandit’s Brigade and USO Missouri, brought smiles, comfort and connection to military families and veterans during their visit. The pair also took time to pay their respects to our fallen heroes at Arlington National Cemetery, a gesture that speaks to the deep compassion, service and care Apache, Maverick and Kelly bring to everyone they meet.

A new chapter for animal welfare in Europe. For years, Global Humane Society has collaborated with European partners to advance the cause of animal welfare across the continent. Today, we’re proud to take that commitment even further with the opening of our European Union office in Brussels, Belgium, a major milestone for the international arm of American Humane Society. Our new Brussels hub will deepen our engagement with EU institutions, NGOs, and industry leaders, expanding our scientific expertise and operational programs to protect animals in conservation, agriculture, tourism, rescue and entertainment. This permanent presence reflects not a beginning, but a renewed promise: to build a more humane future for animals everywhere. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/e4GqQ8Xz

When Priscilla Presley was just five years old, she found a lonely puppy on the street. Growing up in a military family where pets weren’t allowed, she hid that puppy in her closet, hoping her parents would let her keep it. That small act of compassion sparked a lifelong mission to protect animals who can’t speak for themselves. For nearly 150 years, American Humane Society has been a trusted voice for animals, rescuing those in crisis, supporting shelters and protecting wildlife around the world. Join Priscilla Presley in standing up for animals in need. Learn more at americanhumane.org

American Humane Society reposted this
👉 At this year’s TOURISM 365 Conference, we were delighted to share a special video message from Kashyap Choksi, Senior Vice President for Global Partnerships at the American Humane Society (Global Humane Society). 👉 In his address, Dr. Choksi underlined a crucial point: there is no truly sustainable tourism without animal welfare and the standards that ensure it. He also extended an open invitation to the tourism industry to collaborate with GHS on future ecotourism initiatives, highlighting the shared responsibility of building a more ethical and sustainable future for travel. 👉 It was a great privilege for us to participate – even virtually – in such a high-level and insightful professional forum. A heartfelt thank you to Ivana Kolar for the opportunity and for the excellent organisation of this outstanding event. ✌ 🇭🇺 🇪🇺 As a creative consultant at Capital European Affairs, it is always inspiring to take a leading role in coordinating GHS’s European expansion.
