Is there a better way to wrap up ROCKtober than with a visit to our Joliet (IL) quarry? That’s exactly what our leadership team did this week. The visit offered more than just a look at our operations. It’s an experience that puts scale into perspective — the size of the mine, the precision of the work and the impact it has on construction projects across Chicagoland and the region. Funny enough, going underground is often what keeps us most grounded in our business, our purpose and the people we serve.

To bring their first-ever large-format store to life, Princess Auto Ltd. needed a partner who understood their vision. Amrize was chosen for our expertise in precast solutions and our reputation of delivering exceptional work under tight timelines. Working with Ernst Hansch Construction, we’re on track to complete our part of the project this fall, paving the way for the store’s grand opening in the spring of 2026.

From small towns to big cities, our teams find ways to give back, caring for wildlife, supporting local causes and staying close to the communities we call home. 💙 On your mark: Our Portland (CO) plant sponsored the 15th annual Rim to Rim Race, drawing 700 runners to race across the highest suspension bridge in the U.S. and raise funds for nonprofit Starpoint. 💙 Banding together: For the 13th year in a row, our Berrymoore (AB) plant turned owl banding into a community event. This program blends science, education and community while advancing conservation research. 💙 Team building: Working alongside other volunteers, our Winnipeg (MB) team spent a full day building with Habitat for Humanity Canada to help provide safe, affordable housing for dozens of families. 💙 Stay the course: Our Hagerstown (MD) plant helped Girls Inc. create obstacle course structures for their annual Muddy Mamas fundraiser, keeping the spirit of community strong and generating funds for local events.
